'This book is excellent, it is a must for any green fingered child. We had fun making the bird feeder. We have taken this book to Beaver scouts to make some activities. This book is really a treasure and is beautiful to read.'

'I cannot rate this book highly enough! The design is colourful and engaging and it''s full of accessible projects using everyday materials. My children (3 & 8) are very excited about helping the "mini beasts" in our garden and my eldest has taken the book to school so that they can do some of the projects there. '

'Absolutely brilliant wildlife book for children and adults. It is full of great ideas for building really simple things in your garden to attract different wildlife from bees to bats. It is a great way of bringing the family together and very educational too. If you like wildlife and want fun things to make this book is a must.'

'I can thoroughly recommend this book for boys and girls of all ages who want to have fun encouraging wildlife into their gardens.
This book is just what my family was looking for as my children are just getting interested in gardening and also wanted to have something fun to do in the garden that would not cost anything.
This hard-back book is clear, colourful and beautifully illustrated showing children actually making various projects themselves.
My children have had their friends over to join in with some of the fun projects and particularly enjoyed making a moth catcher, bee hotel, ladybird sanctuary and butterfly house. One of the best things about these projects is that most of them wont cost a penny as they can all be made from materials that you would put in the recycling bin.
This exciting and informative book will definitely keep our family entertained for many years.'

'The front cover to this book is welcoming and the mini photos on the front and back give a clear taster of the content and enourage the reader to find out more.
Symbols and instructions are very clear and easy to understand for children from seven years old. The information is also presented in a style that will also inspire older children up to age 11 years old, if not older. There is a progression from describing the garden habitat to practical activities that can encourage a great variety of wildlife into it, including nocturnal creatures as well as the more traditional wildlife. A variety of methods are used to illustrate the book including photos, silhouettes and children''s drawings.
Good idea to have a basics section, so that even if you don''t carry out any further ideas, if children follow these key suggestions, they will create a fabulous wildlife garden.
The language used in the book is upbeat and appropriate for the audience. There are some lovely ideas, i.e hibernation log and Ladybird anctuary that are very easy for children to do, wthout having to spend lots of money.
Information is generally very clear and accurate especially regarding how to compost effectively. Parents would learn a great deal from this book as well as children and this adds to it''s appeal as a book for all the family, not just children.
The price of this book is reasonable. * Page 13 - creating a meadow, if you want it to have good wild flowers, is not just about letting the grass grow long, as it has to be mown at the right time of year. Brief info on this would be useful here.'
